**Job Title:** Education Support Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Education Support Specialist to join our vibrant and inclusive primary school in Preston. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing one-to-one and group support to students who may be struggling academically, socially, or emotionally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students who may be struggling academically, socially, or emotionally.
  • Encourage and promote positive behaviour and self-esteem in students, using a range of techniques and strategies.
  • Work closely with teachers and SENCO to identify students who need additional support and to develop tailored learning plans.
  • Support the development of social skills and emotional wellbeing in students, helping them build resilience and confidence.
  • Assist with the planning and delivery of interventions to help students improve their learning outcomes.
  • Monitor and track student progress, keeping accurate records and providing feedback to teachers and parents as needed.
  • Act as a positive role model, building strong relationships with students to promote a supportive and safe learning environment.
  • Liaise with parents and carers to ensure they are kept informed of their child's progress and any areas for development.

Essential Skills & Qualities:

  • Previous experience working with children, ideally in a primary school setting.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with children, staff, and parents.
  • A caring, empathetic, and patient approach to working with children.
  • The ability to adapt quickly to the needs of individual students and create a positive learning environment.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • A proactive, enthusiastic, and flexible approach to supporting students in their learning.

**Salary:** £25,000 - £30,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
