Education Support Specialist

Veritas Education Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a Reception pupil with an EHCP in accessing the curriculum and developing their social, emotional, and learning skills.
Job Description- Support the pupil in accessing the curriculum, adapting resources as needed.
- Encourage the pupil's social and emotional development, fostering positive relationships with peers.
- Implement Individual Education Plan (IEP) targets and provide feedback to the SENCO and class teacher.
- Work collaboratively with the school team and external agencies to provide the best possible support.
Essential Requirements:
- Experience working with children with Down's syndrome or additional needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with pupils, staff, and families.
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
- Willingness to undertake additional training as required.
- Relevant Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
Salary and Benefits:
