Community Fundraising Specialist

Parkinson's UK is seeking a skilled Community Fundraiser to join our dynamic team in Yorkshire. As a key member of our Community Fundraising Team, you will be responsible for engaging with current and potential supporters to generate leads and raise funds for the charity.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of fundraising experience, with a strong focus on community, events, corporate, and major donors. They will be able to identify and maximise opportunities to grow and develop income, and have experience of setting and managing budgets to achieve agreed targets.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and deliver ambitious local fundraising plans and budgets to maximise local support and achieve financial targets.
- Actively support, motivate, and manage a portfolio of individual supporters to fundraise for Parkinson's UK.
- Lead on the development and delivery of a portfolio of fundraising activities, including local delivery of the Walk for Parkinson's event series.
- Collaborate with central teams to develop all streams of local fundraising, including community support, local corporate activity, and events.
- Demonstrable experience of general fundraising principles and at least two of the following fundraising disciplines: community, events, corporate, and major donors.
- Experience of setting and effectively managing budgets to achieve agreed targets.
- The ability to identify and maximise on opportunities to grow and develop income.
- Experience of project work and building strong relationships internally that promote a one-team ethos.
- Experience of networking and finding new opportunities to pursue to grow a strong pipeline of income and supporters for year-on-year growth.
Parkinson's UK offers a competitive salary and benefits package, as well as the opportunity to make a real impact in the lives of people affected by Parkinson's. The successful candidate will be required to provide their own broadband service with a minimum download speed of 2Mb, have a confidential space in which to work, and travel around the region regularly without reliance on public transport.
An enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check will be required for this role. If you don't have a current DBS check, you will be required to apply for one; refusal to do so will result in the offer being withdrawn.
