Nursery Manager Job Description

Job Summary:

The Nursery Manager is a key leadership role within our childcare organization, responsible for providing professional leadership and management of the nursery. This role requires a qualified early years childcare professional who can effectively manage the day-to-day running of the nursery, deliver the highest standards of care and education, and ensure compliance with legislative requirements and our policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide professional leadership and management of the nursery, ensuring the highest standards of care and education are delivered.
  • Effectively manage the day-to-day running of the nursery, including staff supervision and development.
  • Ensure compliance with legislative requirements and our policies and procedures at all times.
  • Contribute to the strategic planning, monitoring, evaluation, and development of the nursery.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with staff, children, and families to ensure a positive and supportive environment.

Requirements:

  • Qualified early years childcare professional with a strong background in leadership and management.
  • Proven experience in managing a nursery or similar childcare setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with staff, children, and families.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Strong knowledge of legislative requirements and policies and procedures related to childcare.
