Nursery Manager Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and qualified Nursery Manager to join our team at Additional Resources. As a key member of our childcare operations, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional childcare services, leading and inspiring your team, and fostering strong relationships with parents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation.
  • Ensure the nursery operates effectively, maintaining policies, procedures, and a safe, welcoming environment.
  • Lead staff, manage performance, and handle recruitment, training, and supervision.
  • Maintain accurate records, including children's development, staff attendance, and occupancy levels.
  • Oversee health and safety, including risk assessments, first aid, and emergency procedures.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Nursery Manager, Deputy Manager, or in a similar role.
  • At least 1 year of experience in nursery management.
  • NVQ level 3 qualification or above in Early Years.
  • Understanding of the EYFS and OFSTED requirements.
