Job Title: Bank Scrub Practitioner

We are seeking an experienced Bank Scrub Practitioner to join our well-established theatre team at St John & St Elizabeth Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the safe and efficient running of our theatre suite.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assessing, planning, and delivering perioperative patient care
  • Leading individual teams and ensuring adherence to the 5 steps to safer surgery
  • Exhibiting a high level of teamwork and effective resource management
  • Participating in education, training, and development of other staff
  • Preventing cross-infection and maintaining a clean working environment
  • Preparing patients for invasive procedures and providing initial urgent or emergency care
Requirements:
  • Registered Nurse with recognised postgraduate theatre qualification or equivalent experience
  • Evidence of continuing professional development
  • Significant post-registration skills and experience in orthopaedics and urology
  • Ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with colleagues and patients
  • Flexibility to change shifts and participate in the on-call rota
