At KPI Recruiting Ltd, we are seeking an experienced IT leader to drive the modernisation of our organisation's IT systems. As the Head of IT Transformation, you will play a pivotal role in leading a comprehensive shift to a next-generation, cloud-based infrastructure.
This is a strategic position where your leadership will be crucial in aligning IT innovation with our organisation's broader business goals. You will be responsible for ensuring that every step of the transformation aligns with long-term business objectives while staying on track in terms of scope, timelines, and budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a strong project strategy and lead the execution of the IT transformation project, ensuring key milestones are hit on time and within budget.
- Identify where inefficiencies lie and implement innovative solutions that increase operational efficiency and effectiveness across the business.
- Oversee the selection and implementation of new cloud technologies, working with key vendors to ensure that the tools and platforms selected meet the highest standards of quality and performance.
- Manage relationships with external partners to ensure that all deliverables are met on time and within the agreed scope.
- Conduct in-depth analyses of current business operations, identifying gaps and opportunities, and propose innovative solutions to address them.
- Lead the migration of core systems to the cloud, ensuring that this new environment is flexible, secure, and scalable.
- Implement containerisation strategies using technologies like Docker and Kubernetes, driving efficiency and flexibility in our organisation's IT architecture.
- Manage risks effectively, foreseeing potential challenges and developing contingency plans to address them.
- Establish and maintain robust governance and reporting frameworks, providing regular updates on project status, risks, and performance to senior leadership.
Requirements:
- At least 10 years of experience in IT project management, with a focus on large-scale transformation projects.
- Extensive experience in cloud-based architectures, with hands-on experience using platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Strong technical knowledge of system integration, software development lifecycles, and IT infrastructure management.
- Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and guide teams, as well as influence senior stakeholders across the organisation.
- Experience in risk management and change management, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks, and lead an organisation through significant technological and operational changes.
- A strong background in managing budgets and resources, with the ability to oversee a multi-million-pound project budget and ensure efficient use of both internal and external resources.
