Deputy Room Leader Job Description

Kido is a pioneering early years education provider that combines innovative approaches with a deep understanding of child development. We're seeking an experienced Deputy Room Leader to join our team and contribute to the delivery of exceptional care and education to children aged 3 months to 5 years.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Room Leader to develop and implement engaging learning experiences that meet the unique needs of each child.
  • Lead a team of educators to plan, organize, and execute activities that align with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) standards and the Kido curriculum.
  • Support the Room Leader in assessing and recording children's progress and achievements, and ensure that every milestone is celebrated.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a nurturing environment that caters to individual needs, acknowledging the diversity of each child's background, culture, disabilities, and medical history.

Requirements:

  • A relevant childcare qualification, level 2 minimum, with a strong understanding of the EYFS framework.
  • Experience as an Educator and/or Deputy Room Leader in a nursery setting, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality care and education.
  • Able to communicate effectively with parents, children, and colleagues, and demonstrate a commitment to the Kido values of Listen, Learn, and Lead.
  • Right to work in the UK and willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.
