Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Construction Law Specialist to join our team at Clarke Energy. This role will involve providing legal support to the commercial function, negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Negotiating and drafting construction contracts for Clarke Energy's business in the UK and Ireland;
  • Coordinating and negotiating sub-contracts with suppliers;
  • Providing legal research and guidance on contractual matters and construction law;
  • Assisting with the review and negotiation of supply chain contracts;
  • Negotiating ancillary legal agreements, including confidentiality agreements and direct agreements;
  • Providing ad hoc guidance and support to colleagues on contractual matters and construction law.

Requirements:

  • An England and Wales qualified solicitor with at least 4 years' non-contentious construction law experience;
  • Working knowledge of various standard forms of construction contract, including MF/1, FIDIC, NEC, and JCT;
  • Excellent attention to detail, good verbal and written communication skills, and a willingness to work collaboratively as part of a global team.
