We are recruiting a talented Scientific Software Engineer to join our Radar R&D team and contribute to the development of cutting-edge software solutions.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment, leveraging your technical expertise to deliver innovative software solutions that support our scientific mission.

Responsibilities:Main Responsibilities

Design, develop, and test complex software systems using various programming languages and frameworks.

Collaborate with scientists and engineers to understand their requirements and develop software solutions that meet those needs.

Ensure the scalability, reliability, and maintainability of software systems.

Work closely with QA teams to identify and resolve bugs and issues.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in software development, preferably in a research-oriented environment.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python, C++).
  • Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems (e.g., Git).
Desirable Experience and Qualities
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions on time.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to new technologies.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • A strong passion for radar research and its applications.
Salary and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary range of £50,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package including pension scheme, life insurance, and annual leave.
