Mace, a leading consultancy firm, is seeking a highly skilled Strategic Social Impact Manager to join their team.

About Mace

As a consultative expert, the successful candidate will work closely with clients to deliver social value consultancy services. This role requires a deep understanding of governance, risk, and project management principles.

The ideal candidate should possess excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at various levels, from executive to project management. Strong business development skills, financial management, and reporting experience are essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities
  1. Deliver high-quality social value consultancy services to both public and private sector clients.
  2. Collaborate with supply chains and consultants to develop social value KPIs, handbooks, and reporting mechanisms.
  3. Attend client meetings and project review meetings to report outputs, issues, and risks.
  4. Establish strong relationships with clients and identify opportunities for further work and support.
  5. Line manage individuals within the social value team.
  6. Write bid submissions and represent the social value team in bid presentations.
  7. Support the development of the social value service offer across the business.
Requirements
  • Governance & risk (PMO) expertise.
  • Strong interaction skills, including executive vs project management and design team vs supply chain.
  • Able to build social value into contracts & procurement.
  • Familiarity with social value methodologies, such as TOMS, V2S, SV portal.
  • Business development/work-winning experience.
  • Financial management & reporting skills.
  • Suitable professional membership/s.
  • Excellent presentation skills & storytelling abilities.
  • Critical thinking & problem-solving skills.
  • Programme design & engagement expertise.
  • Interpersonal skills & self-awareness.
  • People management skills.

This exciting opportunity offers a competitive salary between £65,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience, and a range of benefits, including flexible working options, training, and professional development.
