Azure Support Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Azure Support Engineer to join our client, a Christian charity, in a home-based role. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and guidance on the implementation and management of Microsoft Azure services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support and guidance on Azure services, including configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on experience in automating the deployment and monitoring of services in Azure.
  • Some experience in infrastructure as code and post-deployment configuration management using a popular toolset (such as Terraform, ARM, DSC, Puppet, Chef, Ansible).
  • Strong understanding of core network protocols and services (TCP/IP, DNS).
  • Strong understanding of IAM roles and policies.
  • Ability to analyse network behaviour, performance and application issues.
  • Understanding of key database terminology and replication methodologies.
  • Understanding of continuous deployment using CI/CD tools like Jenkins, SCM (Git, SVN) along with code reviews.
  • Azure, ITIL or any relevant administration certifications.
Requirements:
  • Experience in Windows system administration.
  • Hands-on experience in automating the deployment and monitoring of services in Azure.
  • Some experience in infrastructure as code and post-deployment configuration management using a popular toolset.
  • Strong understanding of core network protocols and services.
  • Strong understanding of IAM roles and policies.
What We Offer:
  • A competitive salary of up to £47,000 (negotiable) + substantial benefits.
  • The role is home-based (anywhere in mainland UK) with monthly travel to the London offices.
  • Job-share / part-time options may be available (pro rata salary).
