About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our outstanding team at a Specialist SEN School in Northampton.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide tailored support and assistance to students with SEN, including Autism and behavioural needs, both in and out of the classroom.
  • Collaborate closely with teachers and SENCO to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavioural strategies.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment where every student feels valued and supported.
  • Assist with the personal care and well-being of students as required.
Requirements
  • A minimum of six months of SEN experience in the UK.
  • A valid and up-to-date DBS check is required.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools) are preferred but not essential.
  • A strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
