About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at STEPS Rehabilitation. As a Senior SLT, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality assessments and interventions for clients with complex communication and swallowing disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist assessments and interventions for clients with complex communication and swallowing disorders.
  • Develop and implement individual rehabilitation plans to ensure the highest standard of care.
  • Work closely with the interdisciplinary team to optimize client outcomes.
  • Support the development of the SLT service, including audit and training of the wider team.
  • Provide advice and guidance to clients, families, and staff on the management of dysphagia.
  • Refer clients to outside agencies as necessary and write discharge reports to ensure continuity of care.
Requirements
  • Relevant clinical experience working with clients with complex communication and swallowing disorders.
  • Knowledge and application of different assessments and therapy approaches.
  • Documented evidence of continuing professional development.
  • Experience of working within governance frameworks and clinical systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
