Teaching Partner Role

Smart Sharp is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Partner to join our team. As a key member of our Primary Phase team, you will work closely with a child who has learning and behavioral difficulties, providing individualized support and guidance to help them achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist teachers in developing and implementing a tailored program of work, ensuring a stable and supportive learning environment that fosters personal, social, and moral development.
  • Support learners and encourage parents, guardians, and carers to participate positively in their child's life at school, promoting better engagement and outcomes.
  • Supervise learners during scheduled activities, taking responsibility for their guidance, safety, and well-being, including during unstructured periods such as break time.
  • Contribute to the planning and preparation of learning resources, working in partnership with other professional colleagues to meet the needs of individuals and groups of learners.
  • Collaborate with other agencies to ensure joined-up, coherent, and coordinated support, focusing on overcoming barriers to learning, addressing poor attendance, and tackling issues of poor behavior.
  • Undertake routine administrative and clerical duties to support the policies, systems, and procedures of the school and the wider Trust.
