We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate teaching assistant to support students with special educational needs in a mainstream secondary school in Hillingdon.
About the Role:The successful candidate will work under the direction of the SENCO to support the delivery of quality learning and teaching to pupils with a range of additional and often complex needs, including ADHD, ASC, social, emotional, and mental health difficulties, moderate learning difficulties, speech language and communication needs, and resistant behavior.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the delivery of quality learning and teaching to pupils with special educational needs.
- Encourage participation and independence in learning.
- Work with pupils who have a range of additional and often complex needs.
- Undertake specified work with individuals, groups, and whole classes under the direction and supervision of a qualified teacher.
- Strong attainment across GCSE and A-Level.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with students, staff, and parents/carers.
- Flexible and adaptable approach to work and student behavior.
- Good understanding of the way children learn and previous knowledge of ASC and ADHD.
- Good organisational skills.
- Positive and resilient mindset.
