We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate teaching assistant to support students with special educational needs in a mainstream secondary school in Hillingdon.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will work under the direction of the SENCO to support the delivery of quality learning and teaching to pupils with a range of additional and often complex needs, including ADHD, ASC, social, emotional, and mental health difficulties, moderate learning difficulties, speech language and communication needs, and resistant behavior.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the delivery of quality learning and teaching to pupils with special educational needs.
  • Encourage participation and independence in learning.
  • Work with pupils who have a range of additional and often complex needs.
  • Undertake specified work with individuals, groups, and whole classes under the direction and supervision of a qualified teacher.
Requirements:
  • Strong attainment across GCSE and A-Level.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with students, staff, and parents/carers.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to work and student behavior.
  • Good understanding of the way children learn and previous knowledge of ASC and ADHD.
  • Good organisational skills.
  • Positive and resilient mindset.
