Job Title: ACCA Financial Analyst

RSK Group is seeking a highly skilled and motivated ACCA Financial Analyst to join our Geosciences & Engineering Finance team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing financial analysis and reporting to support business performance objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Produce and review financial reports for the Division, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Collate financial data and prepare reports tailored to specific requirements, providing meaningful insights to key financial information.
  • Monitor and interrogate KPIs, tracking trends and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Complete variance analysis to provide understanding of deviations from budget, aiding the Division in the management of working capital.
  • Support the Finance Business Partner with project accounting, assisting in evaluating and developing current reporting processes.
  • Assist in the annual budgeting process, preparing balance sheet reconciliations and providing ad-hoc analysis and support to the Divisional leadership team as required.
Desired Experience:

We are looking for a candidate with a passion for finance and analysis, potentially in the early stages of their financial career (minimum 1-2 years). Relevant accountancy qualifications (e.g. AAT, CIMA, ACCA) or a willingness to study to gain the relevant professional qualifications are desirable.

Skills:
  • Financial modelling and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret large data sets.
  • Demonstrable attention to detail with high degree of accuracy, and familiarity with accounting principles and financial statements.
  • Investigative skills with ability to problem solve, and commercially aware with good communication and organisational skills.
  • Personable and approachable, with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organisation.
  • Team player with self-motivation, time-management skills with ability to prioritise and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency with IT systems, including excellent Excel skills, and a full UK Driving Licence.
Salary and Benefits:
  • £30,000 to £40,000 per annum, depending on experience.
