Job Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a good degree from a reputable University and a good understanding of SEN and its challenges. Experience working with children or adults with SEN (personal or professional) is also desirable.

You will need to be able to work effectively as part of a team and communicate with staff, parents, and carers. A calm and compassionate nature is essential for this role, as you will be working with children who may present challenging behaviors.

As a Unqualified Special Needs Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with a range of SEN across various year groups. Your responsibilities will include working one-to-one with children to provide personalized support and assistance, assisting teachers with lesson planning and delivery, and supporting children with Autism / ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and behavioral difficulties.
