About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Platforms Technical Lead to join our team at Counter Terrorism Policing. As a key member of our Cloud Platforms team, you will play a critical role in shaping our cloud infrastructure and ensuring the security and availability of our critical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and leadership to the team, ensuring that our cloud infrastructure is secure, scalable, and meets the needs of our business.
  • Cloud Infrastructure Management: Own the development and operation of our cloud infrastructure, ensuring that it is aligned with our business objectives and meets the required standards.
  • Team Management: Manage a team of DevOps engineers, providing coaching, mentoring, and guidance to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their roles effectively.
  • Agile Leadership: Lead the adoption of agile methodologies across the team, ensuring that we are working in a collaborative and iterative manner to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Security and Compliance: Ensure that our cloud infrastructure meets the required security and compliance standards, including those related to data protection and national security.
Requirements
  • Technical Skills: Proven experience with cloud platforms, including Microsoft Azure/365 and AWS, as well as a strong understanding of cloud security and compliance.
  • Leadership Skills: Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team to deliver high-quality results.
  • Agile Methodologies: Experience with agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban, and the ability to lead the adoption of these methodologies across the team.
  • Security and Compliance: Strong understanding of security and compliance requirements, including those related to data protection and national security.
