About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Platform Technical Lead to join our team at Counter Terrorism Policing. As a key member of our Customer Service Centre (CSC) team, you will be responsible for leading the development and operation of our cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a technical platform owner, developing medium to long term strategies for product lines
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance through coaching and mentoring
  • Lead the sharing of knowledge and good practice
  • Own the development and operation of the cloud infrastructure
  • Provide team and project leadership to ensure standards are met
  • Work with developers and engineers to ensure that software development follows established processes and works as intended
  • Maintain and update processes as required
  • Ensure personal and team workload is effectively managed, prioritised and issues are escalated to line management as necessary
  • Ensure adherence to required policies, standards, controls and best practice
  • Create, maintain and review technical documentation to ensure all services are maintained and knowledge is shared
  • Proactively monitor cloud environments to help prevent issues arising
  • Proactively drive continuous improvement across cloud services
  • Assist in mentoring and developing the team
  • Deputise for the infrastructure cloud lead as required
