Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at Bluebolt Recruitment. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, verifying, and preparing technical design drawings and specifications for manufacture.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop detailed technical design drawings and specifications using CAD software (Creo) and Microsoft software packages (Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Manage and prioritize multiple projects to ensure timely completion and meet NPI plans
  • Prepare Manufacturing & Process Instructions for new products
  • Resolve manufacturing issues in the early stages of product design and development
  • Work closely with design briefs to resolve design details or discrepancies
  • Coordinate drawing and drawing control activities
  • Support the design and development of test rigs
Requirements:
  • BEng level qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a Scientific subject
  • Currently or working towards Chartered/Incorporated Engineer status and member of Professional Engineering Institution
  • Minimum 3 years Design Engineering experience in Automotive or Aerospace manufacturing industry
  • Experience using CREO or similar 3D CAD and product lifecycle management software
  • Design for manufacture and design for assembly experience
  • NPI Gate review process/Production readiness
