The Role: Packaging Team Leader
As a Packaging Team Leader, you'll play a vital role in our 24-hour manufacturing operation at our Banbury site. You'll lead, coach, and empower your team to deliver consistent results within the packaging section.
Your responsibilities extend beyond just production; you'll champion safety, quality, performance (SQCDSM), and continuous improvement across all aspects of the operation. You'll cultivate a culture of high action orientation, drive for results, and ongoing development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure a safe, hygienic, and environmentally responsible work environment, upholding strict food safety standards.
- Implement established standard processes and procedures to maintain operational efficiency.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing incidents, implementing corrective actions, and fostering a culture of learning.
- Collaborate with your team to achieve operational targets, optimize production schedules, and ensure accurate data reporting.
- Develop and mentor your team members through personalized development plans (PDP), focusing on both operational and personal growth.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages open communication, feedback, and high performance.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in leading and developing teams within a manufacturing setting.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively interacting with individuals at all levels.
- Demonstrated proficiency in applying Lean methodologies (VSM, SMED, KAIZEN) to enhance manufacturing processes.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships across diverse teams and functions.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, preferably within the FMCG sector.
