Senior Platform Engineering Manager

Are you a seasoned Engineering Manager with experience in leading technical and operational teams? We're seeking a Senior Platform Engineering Manager to join our team at Global Processing Services.

About the Role

We're a leading fintech company processing billions of transactions annually across 44 countries. Our unique approach combines hands-on support with modern, reliable, and scalable technology. We're seeking a Senior Platform Engineering Manager to lead our evolving team of Platform, DevOps, Release, and Application Support Engineers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Master incident management and customer escalations with a focus on root cause analysis
  • Orchestrate cloud migration projects that align with our business vision
  • Drive seamless communication between Platform Engineering and key stakeholders
  • Partner with AWS to leverage cutting-edge tools and expertise in our cloud journey
  • Provide visionary technical leadership on complex cloud projects
  • Balance team capacity and project delivery to exceed expectations

Requirements

  • Advanced AWS expertise, including networking, security, and optimization
  • In-depth knowledge of core AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, CloudFormation)
  • Proficiency in AWS networking (VPC, Direct Connect, Route 53)
  • Expertise in AWS best practices, including cost optimization and multi-account strategies
  • Strong configuration management and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) skills (Terraform, CloudFormation)
  • Knowledge of shift-left security practices and AWS security best practices
  • Solid understanding of networking principles and AWS networking services
  • Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus and CloudWatch
