Job Summary: We are looking for a seasoned HSE Manager to lead our Health, Safety and Environmental initiatives at our Avonmouth, Bristol site. As a key member of our Senior Leadership Team, you will be responsible for driving the Health and Safety agenda and developing sustainable HS&E management programmes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Compliance with Hovis Ltd and legislative Health and Safety requirements.
  • Ownership of risk assessments and overall quality of safety output.
  • Coordination of Health, Safety and Environmental activities for Forest Gate, ensuring all targets are achieved in line with expectation.
  • Lead, develop and implement sustainable HS&E management programmes and provide the strategic architecture for HS&E that will ensure statutory accreditations are retained.
  • Line management of our SHE Advisor.

Requirements:
  • IOSH and/or NEBOSH qualifications.
  • Experience of accident prevention programme implementation.
  • The ability to design and implement effective Health and Safety training ensuring impactful deployment in line with company Health and Safety strategy.
  • Experience of Health and Safety change management.
  • Experience of working within a unionised environment (desirable).

We offer a competitive salary range of £55,000 - £70,000 per annum, depending on experience.
