About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a full-time, permanent Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Manager to join our team in Portbury, Bristol. The successful candidate will have a deep knowledge of HSE best practices and legislation within the UK to work collaboratively with the onsite team and wider business to implement and maintain positive change culture.

As an HSE Manager, you will be responsible for driving the safety agenda, incorporating training, accident investigation, culture, staff involvement, administration, insurance compliance, and setting and improving standards. You will also prepare and deliver induction and H&S skills/awareness trainings, drive culture change/reinforcement of good safety cultures, and create standards/performance frameworks for performance assessment and benchmarking.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role, ideally in a managerial capacity, with a strong understanding of UK H&S & Environmental Legislation. A university degree would be an advantage, along with a minimum NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification. Excellent communication skills are essential, as you will present written and verbal reports to both internal and external contacts and stakeholders at all levels.
