The Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Piccolino Ilkley. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene, adhering to current health and food safety legislation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Thoroughly clean designated areas, including sweeping and mopping of floors, and ensuring all surfaces are hygienically cleaned.
  • Clean and maintain fridges, shelving, food preparation areas, cupboards, and trolleys.
  • Prepare the dishwasher for daily use and report any faults or chemical requisitions to the manager.
  • Clear and wash dirty crockery and cutlery, and stack them correctly or take them to the appropriate outlet.
  • Ensure all designated machines and equipment are kept clean, and adhere to cleaning schedules.
  • Remove and dispose of rubbish, food waste, and recyclable materials in the correct containers.

Requirements:

  • A passion for delivering quality food using fresh ingredients to specification.
  • High-volume experience providing quality food consistently in a fast-paced environment.
