Job Title: Head Waiter/Waitress

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Head Waiter/Waitress to join our team at The Trafalgar St. James, Curio Collection by Hilton. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service, leading by example, and ensuring hotel quality standards are maintained while achieving maximum revenue and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide outstanding service to guests, anticipating their needs and exceeding their expectations.
  • Lead a team of waiters/waitresses to ensure swift and efficient service to all guests.
  • Identify opportunities for up-selling and promoting when appropriate.
  • Assist with the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant floor, ensuring facilities are maintained to the required standards.
  • Complete quality Mise en Place, including cleaning, setups, and handovers.
  • Report and follow up on any comments and guest queries as they occur.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a clear passion for service, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to multitask and prioritize under pressure. Although experience within a similar environment is preferable, we look for attitude, quality, and interpersonal skills rather than experience.
