About the Role

The University Hospital of North Midlands NHS Trust is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join their Imaging Directorate as an Apprentice Radiographer. This exciting opportunity will provide the successful candidate with the chance to gain extensive workplace learning and practice in Imaging, supported by academic learning within the chosen university.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work as part of the Plain Film X-ray team workforce and undertake clinical shifts as part of the team.
  • Support the Imaging Department Assistants and liaise with the wider multidisciplinary team.
  • Undertake any formal or informal study and training required to fulfil the needs of the post.

Person Specification

  • Grade C or 4 or equivalent Maths and English.
  • A-Level or BTEC or Equivalent qualifications.
  • Clinical experience in Imaging department or other healthcare environment.
  • Public facing role.

What We Offer

The successful applicant will gain a BSc (Hons) in Diagnostic Radiography and Imaging and will be eligible to apply for registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Diagnostic Radiographer. The trust will support programme fees, and the candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside a multidisciplinary team.
