Exciting Opportunity for Development Underwriters

We are seeking two highly motivated and experienced Development Underwriters to join our team at Markel International Services Ltd. As a Development Underwriter, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development plan for brokers across the Central and South East regions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build and maintain strong broker relationships to provide excellent service and achieve business growth.
  • Underwrite complex Professional and Management risks, including Technology, to ensure profitability objectives are met.
  • Actively manage and provide an efficient new business service to brokers to maintain good relationships and achieve best outcomes.
  • Develop new broker relationships and identify opportunities to drive growth and increase market share.
  • Provide input into the Head of Financial Lines reporting on broker activity and new business production.
  • Collaborate with the Broker Development Director to develop and implement strategies to achieve business objectives.
Requirements:
  • Proven relevant underwriting experience and technical skills.
  • Track record in building and developing broker relationships.
  • Background and experience in Professional Indemnity and Directors and Officers classes of business desirable.
  • Excellent communication and IT skills, including MS Office, Word, PowerPoint, and CRM.
  • Proven ability to win business while maintaining underwriting field.
