Exciting Opportunity for a Development Underwriter

STRIDE RESOURCE MANAGEMENT LTD is seeking a skilled Development Underwriter to join their Commercial Team in Birmingham. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for profitably underwriting Commercial risks from a wide suite of products on a case-by-case basis, within appetite and underwriting criteria.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage your own diary to utilize your time effectively across your broker panel.
  • Uncover new business opportunities and work with your brokers' partners in a solutions-focused manner to deliver exceptional propositions.
  • Develop and maintain strong trading relationships with our broking partners and leverage that relationship to deliver growth in line with the company plan.
  • Deliver exceptional service to both brokers and internal stakeholders to set us apart from our competitors.
  • Provide support and guidance to less experienced members of the team to share your knowledge and experience.
Requirements:
  • Strong trading skills with experience in developing broker accounts to achieve profitable growth.
  • Underwriting knowledge, specifically with previous experience in Commercial Combined.
  • Motivated, driven, and adaptable, with a positive can-do attitude.
  • Willing to provide help and support to others and able to work cooperatively with others.
  • Passionate about own development within the insurance industry.
  • Able to assess and analyze data accurately and effectively.
  • The ability to build and maintain internal and external relationships.
