Job Title: Outdoor Activity Instructor

About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and energetic individual to lead our outdoor activities and workshops for children aged 7-14. As an Outdoor Activity Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, structured outdoor activities and ensuring the welfare and safety of our participants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver outdoor activities and workshops that promote participation, development, and enjoyment for children aged 7-14.
  • Lead groups of children through week-long, timetabled courses, focusing on teamwork, skill development, and fun.
  • Ensure all policies and procedures are adhered to, including health and safety and safeguarding procedures.
  • Participate in pre-camp training and ongoing professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • Contribute to the setup and pack down of the Ultimate Activity Camp.
  • Supervise and engage with children outside of activity times, promoting their welfare and best interests.
  • Act as a role model and ambassador for Ultimate Activity, embodying our values and expectations.
Requirements
  • Enthusiastic and energetic individual with a passion for working with children and supporting their development through outdoor activities.
  • Excellent organisational and leadership skills, with experience in outdoor education and working with children.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to lead groups of children.
  • Flexible and able to adapt to dynamic situations and challenges.
  • Desirable: relevant degree or equivalent experience, NGB qualification in adventurous activities, and current outdoor or paediatric first aid qualification.
