We are seeking a highly motivated and caring Female Support Worker Specialist to join our team at Advance. As a Support Worker for Women with Learning Disabilities, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality support services to our customers in a 24-hour registered supported living service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with personal care and hygiene, medication administration, and support with daily living activities.
- Support customers with preparing and cooking meals, attending medical appointments, and engaging in social activities.
- Monitor and evaluate the health and behavior needs of customers, identifying and escalating any risks that may affect their safety or well-being.
- Act as a role model and mentor to colleagues, demonstrating excellent levels of practice and ensuring specialist care and support is tailored to the needs of our customers.
- Collaborate with the Support Manager and team to develop and implement personalized support plans, ensuring customers feel engaged, involved, and fulfilled.
Requirements:
- Able to work well as a team and communicate effectively with colleagues, customers, and their circle of support.
- Minimum of 1-year experience in Learning Disabilities, Autism & Mental Health Services, with a strong understanding of the needs of women with complex needs.
- Ability to achieve the Adult Care Worker Level 3 or equivalent and willingness to continue professional development.
- Literate and numerate in English, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
