About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our Housing & Independence Service as a Deputy Manager for the new phases of the Key to Your Future Project. This is a newly acquired supported accommodation, and we are looking for a leader who can support staff with our young people on their road to independence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of support staff to ensure the successful transition of care experienced young people to living independently.
  • Develop and implement therapeutic approaches to support young people's mental health and well-being.
  • Collaborate with the Trust's Psychological services to provide formulations of young people prior to starting the programme.
  • Work with staff to deliver the 'Key to My Future' preparation for independence programme.
  • Ensure the smooth operation of the supported accommodation, including health and safety responsibilities.
Requirements
  • Experience of working with young people in and leaving care.
  • Strong leadership and inspirational qualities to motivate and support staff.
  • Knowledge of therapeutic approaches and a willingness to develop their use in the Project.
  • Ability to think innovatively and creatively to improve the offer to our young people.
  • Excellent understanding of the pathway to Independence & Housing for young people.
