Job Title: Trainee Finance Analyst

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Research Operations Team as a Trainee Finance Analyst. This is an exciting opportunity to learn and develop your skills in financial administration, while working on a global platform supporting world-leading research.

About the Role

As a Trainee Finance Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting the financial administration of research grants across the University's Schools and Institutions. You will work closely with our team to ensure that all eligible expenses are recovered from funders, and that financial records are accurate and up-to-date.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the financial administration of research grants
  • Recover eligible expenses from funders
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
  • Work closely with the Research Operations Team to ensure smooth financial administration
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to be numerically confident, with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy. You will also need to be able to communicate effectively across a wide range of audiences and mediums, and have a proactive approach to workload management.

What We Offer

We offer a comprehensive training program, which includes the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) Level 3 Assistant Accountant Apprenticeship Standard. This will provide you with the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in this role, and support your development in the team.

Working Arrangements

We are a flexible and supportive team, and we offer a hybrid working arrangement, which allows you to work from home and on-site. You will be required to attend the office for a minimum of 2 days per week, with additional on-site working according to business need.
