Senior Safeguarding Practitioner

Sanctuary Personnel Ltd is seeking a dedicated and experienced Advanced Healthcare Practitioner to join their Safeguarding Team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be based in Barnsley and work full-time.
The salary for this role is up to £43,570 per annum.
Key Responsibilities:- Support senior colleagues in prioritising, allocating, planning, and reviewing work in accordance with policies, procedures, and statutory requirements, ensuring effective budget management and maximising service efficiencies.
- Contribute to service monitoring and evaluation, undertaking needs analysis, reviewing availability of resources, and developing service practice, policies, and strategies to maintain high-quality services.
- Provide supervision, direction, and coordination of workloads, support, and guidance, appraisal, and professional development, as well as supporting social work students on first and final placements.
- Undertake clear and detailed service user, carer assessments, and interventions in accordance with relevant statutory requirements, minimising risks, and considering service user needs and available options.
- Manage high-complex cases, including planning and review, promoting independence and early intervention, as well as the personalisation agenda and self-directed support to minimise risks and improve quality of life for service users and their carers, ensuring targets are met within agreed timescales.
- Work with individuals, families, carers, and communities to help them make informed decisions, enabling them to clarify their needs, construct value for money care packages, and commission a range of appropriate services, as well as responding to their feedback regarding service provision.
- Assist in ensuring that statutory responsibilities are met and fulfilled by the team, ensuring that quality practice standards are achieved in delivering high-quality services, promoting the use of evidence and theory to support practice in complex and changing circumstances.
- Undertake preventative work and risk assessments utilising community resources and services such as reablement and telehealthcare.
- Manage complex transitions cases and chair multi-disciplinary team meetings as appropriate to specialised field/local structures.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practice, policy, and procedure in relation to vulnerable people, as well as keeping abreast of wider service developments to enhance the service accordingly to satisfy internal and external demands.
- Ability to travel independently to all required areas by the job's responsibilities.
