We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Medical Director to join our team at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. As a key member of our Executive Board, you will provide strategic leadership and direction in medical standards, safety, quality improvement, and patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide professional leadership to our medical workforce, offering coaching, guidance, and mentoring.
- Lead the delivery of our workforce plans for medical staff, including succession planning of senior clinical leadership roles.
- Develop relationships with partners in the community and health and social care system, including the Norfolk and Waveney Integrated Care System (ICS), GPs, health organisations, interest groups, and patient reference groups.
- Promote an organisational culture committed to learning and working together to deliver our vision and strategic objectives.
- Chair our Clinical Safety and Effectiveness Sub Board and Mental and Complex Health Board.
- Registration with the GMC and membership of the GMC Specialist Register.
- Extensive experience gained as a consultant, with significant clinical and managerial leadership experience.
- Knowledge and experience of clinical governance, service innovation, and development.
- Ability to think conceptually, communicate effectively, and engage and involve senior staff across disciplines in the development of strategic issues.
