Medical Director

The Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Medical Director to join our executive team. As a key member of our Board, you will provide strategic leadership and direction in medical standards, safety, quality improvement, and patient care.
Main Responsibilities- Lead the medical workforce, providing coaching, guidance, and mentoring
- Develop and implement workforce plans for medical staff, including succession planning for senior clinical leadership roles
- Build and maintain relationships with partners in the community and health and social care system
- Promote a culture of learning and collaboration to deliver our vision and strategic objectives
- Chair the Clinical Safety and Effectiveness Sub-Board and Mental and Complex Health Board

We require a candidate with the following qualifications:
- Registration with the GMC
- Qualified Medical professional
- Membership of the GMC Specialist Register
We are looking for a candidate with extensive experience as a consultant, significant clinical and managerial leadership experience, knowledge and experience of clinical governance, experience of service innovation and development, and knowledge of revalidation.
