About the Opportunity:

Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for the position of Flow Matron, an exciting opportunity to contribute to the improvement of patient flow and care delivery across community hospitals in Kent.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for liaising with various stakeholders, developing and implementing flow improvement plans, and collaborating with the Bed Management Team Lead and Community Hospital Matrons.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with acute hospitals, community hospitals, local authorities, and social and health service colleagues to ensure seamless patient flow.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of evidence-based flow improvement plans to enhance patient care and reduce delays.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Registered healthcare professional (NMC or HCPC registration) with a minimum of 3 years' experience in a health improvement environment.
  • Postgraduate qualifications relevant to the area of practice, including management or supervisory qualifications.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, ability to manage teams, and implement change management strategies.
