About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Child Disability Specialist to join our Neurodevelopmental Pathway team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide clinical leadership and expertise in the assessment and diagnosis of autism and other neurodevelopmental disorders.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership and expertise in the assessment and diagnosis of autism and other neurodevelopmental disorders.
  • Develop and sustain a culture of clinical improvement in the Neurodevelopmental Pathway, leading by example and empowering staff to deliver evidence-based services of a high quality.
  • Set and monitor standards for clinical practice, including access to and exit from clinical pathways, for child and family care planning.
  • Develop positive and effective relationships and partnership working with early years and school settings and providers across all agencies/sectors.
  • Provide clinical expertise in the field of neurodiversity and be experienced in assessment and differential diagnosis, including experience in the administration of relevant standardized assessments.

Person Specification
  • Degree or equivalent professional qualification, in an Allied Health Profession relevant to ASD, with HCPC registration, with a clinical background in children and young people's services.
  • Management or leadership qualification or equivalent level of children's services experience.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development, to include standardized assessments relevant to the field of neurodiversity.
