About the Role

We are seeking a Category Management Specialist to join our team, reporting directly to the Procurement Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving strategic procurement initiatives, evaluating suppliers, and managing relationships with stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have experience in procurement or a related field, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and excellent communication and negotiation skills. A degree in a relevant subject such as business, supply chain management, or a related field is also required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to commodity sourcing strategies and ensure alignment with procurement policies and procedures
  • Establish local service level agreements with end users
  • Monitor supplier performance and inform relevant stakeholders about this performance under the guidance of procurement leadership
  • Negotiate local or regional contracts in conjunction with relevant procurement managers
  • Advise end users on suitable items of acceptable quality at the most cost-effective prices
