Overview of the Junior Meat Processing Specialist Role at Neil Powell Master Butchers
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the butchery team in various aspects of meat preparation, packaging, and sanitation
- Preparing and presenting meat products for retail
- Assisting with product displays and ensuring clear and appealing signage
- Performing general retail tasks
- Welcoming and interacting with customers, offering guidance and responding to inquiries
- Helping with inventory management and stock rotation
- Receiving large deliveries of meat, which may involve heavy lifting
- Complying with food safety and hygiene standards
- Maintaining a clean and organized workspace

Candidate Requirements
Qualifications
- Proficient in English and Mathematics
- Food Hygiene Level 2 certification is desirable
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with an ability to foster customer relationships
- Detail-oriented with a genuine passion for food
- Physically capable of lifting and working in cooler environments
- Dependable, trustworthy, and punctual
- Able to perform accurately under pressure and meet tight deadlines
