The Perse School in Cambridge is seeking a highly motivated Perse School IT Technician to join their IT department.

This role will involve providing technical support to a diverse user community, working closely with senior team members to deliver high-quality services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service and technical support.
  • Install, configure and support Microsoft platforms.
  • Assist with hardware and software issues for desktops, laptops, printers, photocopiers and telephones.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve IT equipment and network infrastructure issues.
  • Manage user accounts, passwords and security permissions.
  • Support audio-visual equipment.
  • Document and maintain technical guides, reports and asset registers.

Requirements:

  • A good general level of education with GCSE level qualifications in English and Maths.
  • Experience in similar IT roles.
  • Strong knowledge of PC hardware, Windows platform and application support.
  • Empathy for pupils, staff and the community.

Benefits and Salary:

The estimated salary for this role is around £29,000-£34,000 per annum. The Perse School offers a range of benefits, including a pension scheme with employer contributions, free lunch and onsite parking.
