People Development Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced People Development Specialist to join our People team at Parkinson's UK. As a key member of the team, you will play a vital role in building and delivering our people strategy, contributing to the development and improvement of policies and practices to support all employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality specialist advice to managers on HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, employee wellbeing support, and workforce planning and resourcing.
- Work with the People Operations Lead to develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and procedures that align with the charity's goals and objectives.
- Support the development and delivery of training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of managers and employees.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of HR systems, reporting, data, and metrics to inform business decisions.
- Collaborate with the wider People & Culture team to ensure consistent best practice and effective HR processes across the charity.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in employee relations, recruitment, and HR generalist roles, with a strong understanding of HR legislation and best practice.
- Excellent influencing and negotiation skills, with the ability to support managers to deliver effective and fair ER processes.
- Ability to work as part of a team of subject matter experts and contribute to the development of consistent practices across the charity.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
