About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our pharmacy department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective management of controlled drugs.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in pharmacy sciences and excellent IT skills, with experience working in a busy hospital pharmacy environment. You will be responsible for managing our Controlled Drug stock, including investigating and resolving discrepancies, and providing support to our Senior Pharmacy Technician in procurement duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Controlled Drug stock, including investigating and resolving discrepancies
  • Support Senior Pharmacy Technician in procurement duties
  • Provide accurate dispensing services to patients
  • Liaise with medical and nursing staff to ensure effective patient care

Requirements:

  • BTEC/NVQ Level 3 in Pharmaceutical Sciences or equivalent
  • Professional registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council
  • Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft applications
  • Experience working in a busy hospital pharmacy environment
