Senior Children's Support Worker Opportunity

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Senior Children's Support Worker to join our team at a modern residential children's home in Bodmin. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting young people between the ages of 8-16 years old with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and challenging behaviours.

The ideal candidate will be a resilient and committed individual who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people. They will be responsible for leading by example, mentoring and supporting newer staff members, and promoting the independence and well-being of the young people in their care.

The role will involve working in a busy and ever-changing environment, where no two days are ever the same. The successful candidate will need to be able to deal with challenging behaviours, protect the young people from risks to their health and welfare, and maintain a safe environment.

We offer a comprehensive training package, including scheduled ongoing face-to-face training and CPD planning. The successful candidate will also have access to discounts for shopping outlets, restaurants, and cinema's, as well as a company pension and 28 days annual leave.

Requirements for the role include experience as a Children's Support Worker or with Young People, as well as experience within another healthcare or social care setting. A Level 3 NVQ in Children & Young People is also essential.
