Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Care Support Specialist to join our team at Homeless Oxfordshire. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing safety, stability, and support to individuals experiencing homelessness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality care and support to clients, working in partnership with other agencies to create holistic, individualized support plans.
  • Assess and manage risk for individuals, ensuring the effective delivery of care and support services.
  • Work collaboratively with our Step provision and Out of Hospital Team to provide coordinated support services.
  • Report any safeguarding concerns without delay, in line with our procedures.
  • Maintain positive relationships with clients, relatives, carers, professionals, and the local community.

Requirements:

  • An understanding of the needs of homeless people.
  • Ability to deal with challenging behavior.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • IT literacy with knowledge of Microsoft packages.
  • Commitment to the Values and Objectives of Homeless Oxfordshire.

Working Arrangements:

This is a part-time role, requiring 5 hours of work per week, with a rotating shift pattern including weekends.

Location:

The role will be based in our offices in Oxford and Banbury, with travel required to other locations as necessary.
