Job Title: Childrens Services Fostering Lead

Austin Fraser seeks an experienced Childrens Services Fostering Lead to join their dedicated team.

This role offers a challenging and rewarding opportunity to lead a team of social workers in delivering exceptional services to children and families.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of social workers in providing high-quality services to children and families, using the Signs of Safety model of practice.

You will develop and implement strategies to drive performance, improve service delivery, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of statutory and legislative frameworks relevant to social work with children and families.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and families in Child in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP) and Court proceedings, as well as in-depth knowledge of these frameworks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of social workers to achieve effective outcomes for children and families
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive performance and improve service delivery
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of statutory and legislative frameworks relevant to social work with children and families
  • Collaborate with colleagues from other areas of Children's services to ensure seamless service delivery
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience in social work with children and families, preferably in a leadership or management capacity
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
