About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and caring Teaching Assistant to join our team at our special school in Templecombe. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality support to children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), enabling them to access the curriculum and reach their full potential.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children with SEND and will be able to demonstrate relevant experience and/or qualifications. They will be responsible for providing one-to-one support to children with SEND, assisting teachers with lesson planning and delivery, and maintaining accurate records of pupil progress.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one support to children with SEND
  • Assist teachers with lesson planning and delivery
  • Maintain accurate records of pupil progress
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive classroom environment

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications and/or experience working with children with SEND
  • Ability to build strong relationships with children, teachers, and other staff members
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High level of patience and understanding

Salary Range: £26,000 - £31,000 per annum, depending on experience
