About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Social Worker to join our team at Moray Council. As a Social Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting children, young people, and families in our community.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with children, young people, and their families to promote their wellbeing and safety.
- Work collaboratively with other agencies, organizations, and individuals to further promote the wellbeing of children, young people, and their families.
- Contribute to the development, monitoring, and evaluation of services for children, young people, and their families.
- Ensure effective risk assessment and risk management in a child care setting.
- Manage cases within a multi-agency environment, utilizing strong assessment and report writing skills.
Requirements
- Experience within child care/child protection setting.
- Experience of risk assessment and risk management in a child care setting.
- Experience of case management within a multi-agency environment.
- A Degree/CQSW/Diploma in Social Work and SSSC Registration.
- Knowledge of, and ability to work effectively within, relevant child care legislation and practice.
- Good assessment and report writing skills.
- Good communication and mediation skills.
- Effective organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to reflect on practice and engage in a purposeful and reflective supervision.
- Excellent recording and record management skills.
- Knowledge of the needs of children who have experienced trauma in their lives.
- Ability to challenge practice appropriately.
- Ability to contribute to service development.
- Ability to work effectively with Area Team Social Workers and other agency staff.
Working Arrangements
This role requires the ability to travel efficiently and effectively between various work locations within Moray to meet the operational requirements of the Service. A car/van is required for this role due to the rural nature of Moray.
