About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Contract Manager to join our team at VANRATH. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for delivering all contract works in line with client KPI requirements and internal targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the KPIs in place with our clients and record corrective actions, NCRs, and improvements.
  • Manage the application process using our internal systems and have an overview of the daily planning and scheduling of work with the depot planning teams.
  • Coordinate and manage the supply chain, holding progress and performance meetings to ensure supply chain delivery of company expectations.
  • Populate balance scorecards and reports, circulated with teams to ensure consistent delivery and management of maintenance services.
  • Liaise with management on contract matters, responding to queries, complaints, and preparation of KPI challenges, contractor reports, improvement plans, and PLIC claims.
  • Liaise with the QS department on QS matters relevant to the contract, supporting the resolution of queries and challenges.
  • Liaise with the stores personnel to ensure all materials are available to keep work streams operating according to the planned schedules.
  • Ensure the depot facilities, vehicles, and equipment are managed in line with the processes set out in the company's integrated management workflows.
  • Control all waste streams within the depot.
  • Support the management of the company team and any people management activities, such as annual leave, recruitment, disciplinaries, time attendance queries, and overall performance management.
  • Assist with onboarding new starts and champion continuous improvement and LEAN initiatives within the business.
  • Attend client meetings representing the company in the best possible light.
  • As a contract manager, you will form part of the wider management team and attend management reviews, contributing positively to the development of the role and business unit.
Requirements
  • Experience in the construction industry, with a background working in social housing being ideal.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • A valid UK driver's license.
  • CSR card.
  • Previous experience in a leadership role.
  • IT skills and knowledge of Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
